Webinar: psychological first aid for first responders
On the back of a successful workshop on the subject, Prof Elana Newman of the University of Tulsa joined WCJ lecturer Dr Nechama Brodie for a follow-up discussion looking at psychological first aid for first responders in detail. In this webinar, she gives a variety of useful tips on how one can improve psychological first aid and mental resilience when faced with traumatic incidents.
Journalism programmes take strides in new directions through UNESCO initiative in Africa
More than 735 journalism students, 556 journalists and 123 journalism educators have already benefited from projects launched in 10 journalism schools in Africa as part of a UNESCO initiative to strengthen the resilience of journalism training on the continent.

WCJ hosts workshop on psychological first aid for first responders

Revenue Generation for African Newsrooms
The Wits Centre for Journalism, fraycollege, the Media Development Investment Fund and the Sustainable Journalism Partnership recently hosted an online workshop looking at Revenue Generation for African Newsrooms.
