Tonight on #Law Focus we discuss the history and legalities of “gender testing” at International Olympic games following Dutee Chands case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Last year, the Court of Arbitration for Sport agreed with Indian athlete Dutee Chand’s contention that hormone testing for females was discriminatory and ineffective.

We chat to Power Fm Reporter and Sports Anchor Thabiso Mosia who was in Rio covering the Olympic games as well as Jamie Schultz; Associate Professor of kinesiology and women’s studies at Penn State University who wrote the article “So what if some female Olympians have high testosterone?”

Law Focus is produced by Luxolo Matomela and presented by Nyiko Shikwambane.

Stream Tuesdays 6-7pm on vowfm.co.za or 88.1FM in Joburg.
