Africa Check, founded on 26 June 2012 as Africa’s first non-partisan fact-checking organisation, was set up to promote honesty in public debate and the media across the continent. Based in the Journalism Department of the University of the Witwatersrand, Africa Check seeks to fill a paid internship position to perform general administrative duties on contract for six months (with the possibility of an extension).
