Wits Journalism welcomed the 2018 full time Career-entry journalism honours students in February. The class will take over all Wits Vuvuzela publications from the middle of March.

Wits Career-entry Honours in Journalism program coordinator, Dinesh Balliah, has been awarded the 2017 Faculty of Humanities Teaching and Learning Award for postgraduate teaching. Dinesh has also been appointed to the South African Press Council as a public representative
