We seek a journalist who can design, plan and execute the programme for our Power Reporting: The African Investigative Journalism Conference in November 2015.
This is a major, three-day event at Wits University which gets at least 250 people through the door from about 25 countries for training, discussion and case studies in the field of investigative reporting.
We require someone who knows the field well enough to design, plan and organize a lively and interesting programme; liaise with speakers; and take responsibility for the delivery of the content of the event.
This person would work closely with our events organizer, who takes responsibility for the logistics and administration, the previous conference director, who is available to consult and advise, and myself, as head of department.
This is a part-time job over four months, but will require full-time attention in the run-up to the conference.
