He pioneered desktop publishing techniques in this country, and was the first South African journalist to work full-time online. He is now an editorial consultant, specialising in designing new publications, producing prototypes, or redesigning existing titles for clients ranging from ThisDay to the Sunday Sun.
He is editorial director of Big Media, which develops large-scale information websites, including the official online gateway for South Africa, http://www.southafrica.info/.
Manoim has worked in media for over 30 years.
He teaches the design course on the Wits programme.
