Position: Project Coordinator Wits Justice Project 100% (AD09)
Grant funded, fixed term position: 01 January 2017 to 31 December 2019
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree preferably in relevant fields such as journalism or law
- Understanding of the media and/or law an advantage
- Leadership experience in NGO sector
- Editing, sub-editing and media production skills an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make strategic and operational decisions
- Ability to manage an independent-minded team through consensus and cooperation
- Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop a high-performance team, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
- Partnership and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
This person is responsible for:
- Strategic direction, planning, decision-making and implementation
- Donor relations and fundraising
- Advocacy and stakeholder relations
- Project planning, budgeting, management and monitoring
- Overseeing editorial production
