Wits Journalism offers a special edition of its Investigative Journalism course, which will equip journalists with a range of investigative skills and knowledge of the field. The course will be structured around project work which aims to produce publishable results.
The projects will contribute to a global network of journalism educators, students and working journalists doing collaborative work. It will feature dynamic guest speakers and be co-ordinated by Jeff Kelly Lowenstein, US investigative journalist who has run similar exercises in several countries.
Weekly seminars start on May 18, and are timed to suit working journalists. Further details are available from Judi Mafika, on 011 717 4028 or journinfo@wits.ac.za or Prof Franz Krüger, franz.kruger@wits.ac.za.
