Journalists with at least three years of appropriate professional experience, but no previous degree, can enter our Honours Programme by passing a special entrance test.
Known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), this system is designed to recognise professional experience as the equivalent of an undergraduate degree.
The RPL test is designed to measure your professional competence. Students who pass the test will then be accepted into the Journalism Studies A course. If they get 65% or better, they may proceed into the Honours programme.
