Modestus Fosu is a lecturer in the Languages Department of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Accra, where has been teaching English and Language and Study Skills (academic writing) since 2006. He is a Ghanaian with the following qualifications:
M.Phil (English) from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra
BA Hons. (English) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana
Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana
Certificate in Social Media and Journalism from MKFC Stockholm College, Helsinki
Before taking up the appointment at GIJ, he was an English language lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Languages, Accra, where he had immense experiences with English teaching and learning under various linguistic situations: English as a second language in both formal and informal setups and English to other speakers.
His research interests include English usage and teaching, linguistics, and language of journalism, new/social media.
