Jacaranda FM is looking for an experienced News Cast Editor to join our vibrant and dynamic team in our news department. Reporting to the Senior Desk Editor, you will be responsible to compile and deliver news content to a live radio audience.
Key Performance Areas Include:
- Sourcing and researching information of relevant news stories;
- Present on-air news bulletins accurate and professionally;
- Daily news compilation including but not limited to news blog updates, weather and financial reports;
- Assist in managing journalist diaries;
- Coaching and training of junior reporters; So what do you need?
- Diploma/ Degree in Journalism.
- 5 years minimum experience.
- Fluency in both English and Afrikaans.
- Comprehensive knowledge of News and Broadcast Industry.
- Punctuality and meeting deadlines are essential.
