ACADEMY Award-winning actress Charlize Theron won over the hearts of North Coast school pupils with gifts of shoes and a piano, but launched into a tirade at a local journalist who took pictures of her at the event, according to a report in The Star.
Theron attended a function at Silethukukhanya Secondary School, in the Dukuduku Forest near St Lucia, one of the schools supported by the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.
Although there had been a request that no photos be taken, several people at the event whipped out digital cameras and cellphones to take pictures. Among them was journalist Marie Strachan.
However, Theron approached her after the event, saying she was "very upset" that Strachan had taken photos of her during the presentation.
Strachan was then approached by Theron's assistant, who said the actress insisted that all the photos of her be deleted from the camera.
