We are joined by, attorney from Lawyers for Human Rights Tarisai Mugunyani who oversees the Land and Housing Unit to talk about the pace of land reform in South Africa.
Black First Land First also give their support to Julius Malema and explain the inherent problems with the Riotous Assemblies Act.
The Riotous Assemblies Act was passed in 1956 under the Apartheid Era to prohibit gatherings in open-air public places if it was considered that they could endanger the public peace. The law came into being after delegates had gathered the previous year at a Congress of the People to discuss the Freedom charter in Kliptown‚ Soweto.
