A 40-YEAR-OLD journalist, Mr Jude Okpara, was on Tuesday arraigned in court for obstructing the convoy of Nigeria's Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan, writes Hussein Yahaya & Ibraheem A. Fatai for the Daily Trust.
The journalist, who works with Champion Newspaper in Abuja, was arrested by the police on February 16, along Shehu Shagari way, Maitama, Abuja.
Police prosecutor Ahmed Mohammed informed the court that on February 16, the accused used his car with registration number BE 195 YAB to obstruct the convoy of the acting president.
"The accused obstructed the convoy of the Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Jonathan with his car, while entering Hilton Transcorp, Abuja and he also failed to obey hand signal ordering him to stop," the prosecutor added.
