The South Africa Media Innovation Program (SAMIP) launched at the end of August 2017.
It is a $4m program dedicated to supporting independent media organizations, with a focus on innovation and transformation.
The program is accepting applications for an Innovation Challenge. There is R3 million in funding available (upto R500,000 per project). Deadlines for submissions are 31 October 2017.
