Wits Journalism alumnus Ntando Thukwana has been selected for a traineeship program with one of the leading news channels in the UK. She will be heading to Channel 4 News in London where she will spend 3 months with the station’s investigative and politics broadcast teams among others. Her training commenced at the start of June.
The Channel 4 News African internship offers the opportunity for a recently graduated African journalist to spend 12 weeks training with Channel 4 News in London. The intern will work on the programme’s award winning investigations unit, and then rotate around the newsroom working with TV and online teams, in order to provide an all-round training experience in a national newsroom. The intern will be trained in all aspects of television news production, to the level of producing completed reports for broadcast.
Thukwana was parted of Wits Journalism’s career-entry class completed her BA Honours in Journalism and Media Studies in 2018.
